My methods include a interview process where I get to know the student's goals and desires. Sometimes this includes learning a certain piece of music or style of music or interest to jam with friends as a hobby. When I can get a sense of their goals it helps me design a course fit for your student's learning interest. I have been playing Flute for almost 40 years, Bassoon and Saxophone for 35.  I have at one time or another played with some of the world's best ensembles (i.e. The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra) and in some of the very best venues in with world (i.e. Royal Albert Hall in London).  My training was entirely in classical music, in the last 7 or 8 years, I have branched out into Rock and Roll, Blues and Latin Jazz. I'm a classical singer with a Bachelor of Music in Education degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Opera is my first love, but I also teach a wide variety of styles (musical theater, pop, country) as well as general vocal skills and musicianship.
