Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

In addition, because of Covid-19, I now teach via Zoom and/or Facetime which has proven to be very successful experience for all my students. Also, my Strings Program students in Branford, CT from the years 1996-2005 have had access to music notation computer programs such as Finale and Music Time. I developed this approach when I taught in South Carolina for three years: 1982-1985. Music should not be boring or intimidating, so I teach to my students' personalities and their comfort levels. I will ask my students to try rigorous exercizes but I will do so in a manner that is fun and rewarding, not exhausting. I enjoy adding humor to my lessons and I like to keep the mood light and conversational because music is as much about connection and communication as it is about notes. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my high school years. I started teaching at the age of 14. Being a piano instructor was one of the best jobs I ever took on. I am very passionate about music. It calms the soul, relieves stress, and has been proven to improve brain function. I taught all the way through high school, then took a break in college. I majored in Information and Library Science and took several music courses to acquire a minor, Chorus, Guitar 1, Women in Western Music, Audio 101, and continued to perform on main instrument, piano.
