I have been teaching violin privately for 8 years, have my master's degree in violin performance. As a graduate assistant, I taught undergraduate applied violin (lessons), as well as Upper String Methods and other classes as needed. I am a graduate of the Boston z conservatory with a degree in both violin and piano. I have oergormed at thr White House numerous times and in additionition have performed at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Paris, London, Wales, Rome,Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Vatican for the Pope amongst many other places. Since graduating from college, I have continued with my private studio in additional to expanding my work with local public schools and youth choirs. My beginning students usually start with the Suzuki method. However, if a student is using a different book with their school music teacher, I always try to incorporate that book in my student's private lessons. In addition, I ask students what they are interested in playing, to give the student a sense of ownership and signifigance in their progress. As I have taught for many years, I feel encouraged and motivated when I can pass along my love for music. Nothing is more inspiring to me than to see someone's face light up when they pick up their instrument and learn. I set tailored goals for my students to reach every week, so that they have specific targets to reach.
