Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

During my middle through high school years as a performing arts student, I began teaching to the younger grades because I loved filling my time with music performance and education. I was honored to perform at various venues on Philadelphia's Avenue of the Arts, such as the Kimmel Center. I have performed with the Curtis Institute of Music, Temple University's orchestra, the All-City Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as multiple performances with the conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra. I am an active performer and have performed as soloist with leading orchestras and choruses throughout the Mid-Atlantic region including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Lake George Opera Festival, The ConcertOpera Philadelphia and the Princeton Pro Musica.In addition I have been a professional chorister with the Philadelphia Singers, the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir and Vox Amadeus. I have a Bachelors and Masters degrees from Temple University in voice performance and have been teaching both in my home studio and at the high school and college level for over 20 years. Read More

All voice students will gain a working knowledge of English, Italian, French, and German basic translations, pronunciation, and performance styles; along with IPA phonetics. Theory and Composition students will work from Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory and William Russo's Composing Music as well as supplemental activities. They will compose both by hand and with Finale. Advanced students will be introduced to symphonic composition, arranging, and orchestration. All students will have a level of ownership to their lessons, guiding them to suite their end goals. Read More

Poor posture leads to pain and problems, and so I like to encourage healthy habits from the very beginning. I find that students with proper playing habits tend to progress quite quickly, and ultimately have a more gratifying experience with their music. Beginner Violin/Viola/Cello/Double Bass- I typically start in a class method book like essential elements or something similar, and move out of that book into etude books with music that pairs well with them, before moving onto things that are more student chosen once they can play well enough to play things that they like. Beginner Piano- I use the Leila Fletcher books because they are set up at a good pace, and work through those, adding in music that a student wants to learn as we go. Read More
