I'm a music lover who has been studying music since I was in Middle School. It was around then that I both started taking private lessons and discovered my first John Coltrane Album. Starting the I began my my journey of listening to more and more jazz while studying classical music privately. I began teaching while in college. I taught band at an Elementary school for 5 Years. I also went on to become an adjunct professor at The University of the District of Columbia teaching "Jazz Trumpet" and "Beginning Jazz Piano". What I love about teaching is the moment when a student "gets it".
