To make the learning experience fun and engaging. I first introduce concepts; then connect to well known songs and music that allow you to understand and appreciate the vital concepts and themes being illustrated. Together we set realistic goals, learn from where we may have missed the mark, and celebrate our achievements. This allows me to tailor your lesson so that you may gain the absolute most at of each and everyone. Read More

I'm a diverse and enthusiastic musician, dedicated to teaching, and convinced by the power of music to enrich peoples lives in every way. I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance, and obtained Masters of Music degrees in both Trumpet Performance and Orchestral Conducting from Central Michigan University. Trombone: Practice, practice, practice! The trombone is an extremely unforgiving instrument and this is why the words practice need to be repeated many times every lesson. The student needs to understand that in order to get any enjoyment out of playing the trombone they need to practice regularly. Once the student has a regular practice schedule, then their sound will improve and they will enjoy playing. There can be almost no progress at all until the student finds regular practice time to work on their trombone exercises. Read More

I'm an enthusiastic, passionate teacher who appreciates the uniqueness and originality of any interested student. Having taught private lessons and clinics for eleven years, I am open to teaching a multitude of genres, and make it a priority to cater lessons to the interests of each individual student. Having worked with students ages ranging from seven years old to adult, I have developed a flexibility in my teaching style that is tailored to the goals and abilities of each student. Read More

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! I graduated in from the University of Delaware in 2017 with my Masters Degree in Trombone Performance. Since then, I have been a sub in multiple orchestras and chamber groups around the Greater DC area! I love the fact that I can travel to so many amazing places and meet and reconnect with friends and colleagues while on this journey, and discussing new ways to expand my knowledge on teaching and performing, is something that has made my teaching style as unique as it is! I began teaching private students while in college through a music store in Ellicott City, MD. I taught students from age 6 to 15. I had up to 15 students on varied occasions. I maintained students on and off throughout my 7 years of music teaching in public schools following graduating from college, but lost many students when I relocated from Baltimore to Lancaster. I am hoping to network and develop a studio of students again. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
