Once the student understands and has successfully grasped the fundamentals, I begin with scales and more solo repertoire appropriate for their level and for a recital. I also teach service playing for students who want to learn how to play hymns and anthems for a church. I've taught both in public school and privately.  I teach students of all ages and levels.  I have a solid classical background but am well rounded in using a variety of styles to enhance students' enjoyment, learning, and appreciation of music.
