I hold Student Recitals once or twice a year, also all the students have a chance to enter the audition from National competition and depending on the category you choose, you will get Bronze, Silver, or Gold Pin and also a certificate. For me, reading notes is essential, because it opens up the entire musical literature. So that is what I start with. Counting is equally important, so I start with that as soon as possible. I usually work with Bastien Technique. I like the way the book is organised. In addition I give pieces for them to learn, according to their difficulty. All student clients receive artist development training according to their level of skill, I will complete a basic assessment to find out student goals and dreams. I will give students a professional critique of their performance or skill. Together we devise a performance action plan which outlines the students creative journey and desired outcome. if students would like to perform, they will have an option to perform at their desired place. I started teaching in January of 2014 and havent stopped since. In the almost 4 years Ive been doing this, Ive enjoyed growing and developing as both a teacher and musician.
