I love being able to work with students of all ages :) I worked for a time as the events coordinator in a nursing home and got to use music as therapy and even teach some of the senior residents! Alfred Publishing piano courses (both older and newer), Faber and Faber, Bastien, Edna Mae Burnam, and the Hal Leonard course have all been among my pre-published methods that I have used over the years. I have also adopted some technic content from elsewhere. For example, the Zion Conservatory of Music, where I taught from 2004 to 2018, uses a couple of different customized scale patterns for first- and second-year students. In 2014, I graduated from the University of Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Saxophone Performance. Traveling all around the midwest has been one of the better experiences of my career as a musician, and I have had the chance to play both at Summerfest, as well as touring the United States in numerous shows as a musician with the european wind ensemble Blaskapelle Milwaukee, and my own jazz trio. I have been singing since the age of 10 when she first began performing at some of her father’s piano concerts. Graduating from both Lawrence University and Alverno College, she studied vocal performance, music education, and French. My favorite vocal genres include Broadway, Classical, Pop, Light Opera, and Jazz. I has performed in numerous theatres in the Milwaukee area such as the Florentine Opera, Shorewood Players, Off the Wall Broadway Theatre, Sunset Playhouse, Charles Allis Art Museum, and the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.Currently, I maintains a private vocal and piano studio in the Milwaukee area.
