I enjoy guiding students to their specific goals and helping them gain understanding of their instrument and also of their own innate musicality. I tailor all lessons to meet both of these areas and find that it not only helps students motivate but also learn to engage their instrument in a way that is both fun and rewarding for themselves. I am a classical guitarist, active teacher and currently accepting students of Suzuki Guitar in the Milwaukee area. I began teaching guitar 10 years ago after receiving my Bachelor's of Music with a Studio Art Minor from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. In 2008, I graduated with a Master's degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Wisconsin Madison while studying under internationally famed performer and recording artist Javier Calderon. I have also opened shows for many recognized national artists such as Joe Satriani, The Buckinghams, Edgar Winter, Alabama, and many others. With over 17 years of experience as a guitarist, I've mastered my craft through self-teaching, deep dives into online courses and music theory books, and learning alongside fellow musicians. As a guitar instructor, I've developed a comprehensive and structured learning program designed to cater to each student's unique needs and goals. Currently, I perform with a local Milwaukee band called The Dead Pixels and play guitar for my church, Mercy Hill, where I also volunteer for various events. Read More
