Instruments: Trumpet
My teaching experience based on on my professional experience as a performer, It's not just about theory but also practical expertise. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and jazz music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the trumpet and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

Every student is different and I am extremely sensitive to what you need. Every student needs structured training and yet at the same time you should never be forced into the next stage in your musical development without a specific goal in mind. I have thousands of lessons that I have developed over time to help me do exactly that. This allows me to teach you on an individual level, even when you are in a group setting! Read More

I think being well rounded is important with music and one thing that I've noticed is building on what the student is interested in. Started off with materials builds important fundamentals, but if my student is nodding off to sleep, then I'm not doing my job. I'll begin by setting a goal and seeing what the student is interested in (i.e. what band/song would they like to learn about?) From there, I'll set a realistic goal (Flight of the Bumblebee can't and shouldn't be the first song on guitar that you learn) and we'll learn the techniques, structure, and music theory that exists in a certain song. Instruments: Voice
For all my students I let them be opened to what they wanted to learn. Genres , artist etc. I believe as an artist you should make your own choices and see for yourself what kind of singer you want to be. That starts with the choice of song you choice then we can work our way up to learning it and perfecting it. Furthermore, we can expand on learning other songs that you may or may not feeling comfortable singing to give your repertoire a variety of genres and artist. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days and my first vocal pedagogy class. We were all assigned a non-singer to teach and I won't lie, I was very nervous taking on my first student. However, once we got going I fell in love with teaching and have been doing it on and off for 5 years. I do my best to maintain a positive attitude in voice lesson and strive to teach based on a solid foundation of healthy technique. Read More
Instruments: Drums
Through my years of lessons and practice, I've narrowed down the fundamentals into two books based around Rock and Jazz: Ultimate Realistic Rock by Carmine Appice and Advanced Techniques for the modern drummer by Jim Chapin. I also teach rudiments through the practice pad to sharpen control and speed when playing drumset. Through these books and rudiments you'll build a solid foundation that will make learning more advanced grooves or fills easier to play. Read More

My approach is simple - you tell me what your goals are and I help you achieve them. I can help with proficiency, timing, improvisation, technique, composition and am happy to go slowly or quickly. Some students do best with bi-weekly lessons. Others are better suited to weekly instruction. All students are taught how to break music down into simple terms which helps them approach music the right way. Lastly, the more you put into music the more you will get out of it like anything in life. Read More
