From here, I can point them in the right direction on how to get where they want to be. My teaching experience goes back to graduation from college when I began private lessons 29 years ago. Since then I have been consistently teaching students in my studio and in home while recently adding on online lessons. I encourage consistent practice with practice sheets and lesson plans tailored for each individual student based on their level of skills and goals. I've been playing guitar since the age of 12, and I find immense joy in teaching others how to play the guitar. I recently graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Music with a focus in jazz guitar performance. I believe that it is incredibly important to help others on their musical journey in order for them to find their own sound. A student learning how to play a song by his/her favorite artist goes a long way to build confidence and passion for the instrument.
