I typically start out with scales for beginner students. I use the Moyse book for long tones and scales, then start teaching repertoire. Repertoire includes, but are not limited to classical music from various time periods to contemporary music such as film scores. I emphasize foundational skills heavily so that students can play repertoires with more ease and precision. I make sure that all lessons are engaging and fun as I believe that the most important thing when playing music is simply enjoying the performance. Read More
