I'm a seasoned musician that is very motivated to share my knowledge with eager students. I focus mainly on cultivating musicianship as a whole instead of focusing on a single facet. I've been in a wide range of musical projects - choirs, a Capella groups, folk bands, rock bands, etc - and I assumed a leadership role in every single one. I've worked with an age range from 5 to 50 - no one is too young or old to appreciate the joy of performing music. Read More

My teaching style consist of setting realistic goals and encouraging students to push past what they think their limitations are. Getting my students to understand that this journey is a marathon and not a race is important so that they can understand how they should pace themselves as they progress. Offering my students a chance of performing in front of an audience through recitals, gives them motivation to continue to strive to be a better player and allows them to see the fruits of their labor. Piano students will also learn basic rhythm comping skills and learn what it's like to play in a rhythm section while I accompany them on drum set. I have my lesson booklet available for purchase in which each student can design their own curriculum to meet their goals. I also recommend additional books for each student as they develop more specific interests and needs.
