I like this method because it starts out very basically and simply and gradually increases in difficulty. My experience goes back all the way to my college days at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. At Southwestern, I studied with Tim Pope, drummer for Ray Charles. After college, I had the opportunity to teach drums at Southwestern for 2 years as a adjunct faculty member. I then went on to teach at Fort Worth Christian School for 5 years and worked with all their students including their drum line.
