I believe that each singer is unique, and that teaching styles are a great guideline but can also be a limit on a student's creativity. I believe in modifying my approach with each student based on their individual needs and desires. With children, the idea is cultivating a LOVE for music, and teaching them basics like pitch matching, rhythm, theory, etc. For adults, we can go further by learning about musicality, character development, emoting, and truly creating MUSIC, along with the basics.
