I am a professional violinist and violin instructor. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the Universidad de Chile, an Artist Diploma Program, and a Master's degree in Music Performance, both from Duquesne University. I started my career in music when I was 13, and I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to playing and teaching music. I primarily use the Essential Elements String Method or Piano Adventures books to start beginners on violin, viola, cello, and piano, with a focus on note reading and scales, as well as playing by ear. If you have started on a different method book, I am happy to keep you on track with your progress. I am classically trained, but as you can see, I enjoy playing classical, musical theatre, post-modern, and rock 'n' roll, so I encourage learning the basics and quickly incorporating the music YOU want to play, as you develop your technique.
