After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, she moved to Cincinnati to continue her studies with a Graduate Incentive Award Scholarship. She completed with a Masters of Music as well as an Artist Diploma at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music under Dr. Catharine Lees and Mr. Masao Kawasaki. Music has been a significant part of my life since I was a child, and it's importance has grown as I've gotten older. I started, as many do, in the fifth grade when I started playing the saxophone which I continued on through high school. When I was 13 I started playing the electric guitar, and I would later switch to the classical guitar at 19. My teaching style is student oriented meaning the more questions you bring me the better. I will allow students to learn at their own pace. For younger students I allow them to explor the instrument while showing them how to hold it and play. For older students I teach simple songs as well as scales and arpeggios. I have taught beginners of all ages as well as more advanced students, and have led group classes. I bring all my love for music to the lesson, and practice empathy and kindness with my students. I began teaching privately as a high school student, working with begnning students at the middle school. I have taught privately in my home and in students' homes since graduating from college. Regular practice is very important and something I emphasize with my students. I like to include a mixture of classical and modern music in my lessons, so that students enjoy what they are learning and playing. If a student does not enjoy their time playing their instrument, they will not want to put the practice in and lessons will become a point of argument.  Read More
