Since then, I have graduated and am now attending UNF and assisting the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. I currently have two students who participate in the youth orchestra and I adore it. For beginning cello students of all ages, I normally use one of my teacher's method books: Cellocity by Helga Winold of Indiana University. As my cello students progress, I slowly introduce smaller pieces that can normally be found in Suzuki method books. After my cello students have advanced significantly, I begin to introduce more complex pieces that are found in the standard cello repertoire. I'm a classically trained violinist, violist and pianist. I received my Bachelors degree and Masters Degree in Music from Florida International University's School of Music. I currently perform and teach around the Greater Miami area, and have had the opportunity to share my music all the way to Israel, Ireland, and Cuba. I have been teaching music for almost 10 years and have experience with a wide age group. I have used a variety of books with my students, but generally start students with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. I use a mix of books (note reading), ear training, and musical games (depending on age) in lessons. I like to offer students a variety of learning styles, in order to find the one that best suits them.
