After graduating from Iowa with a degree in music performance and education, I performed with the Idaho Falls Symphony Orchestra as well as a ska/rock band. I have also had the opportunity to perform abroad, playing with the University of Kent concert band, orchestra, and jazz band in the United Kingdom. Read More

After playing through the etude, I tell the student what I liked about their playing and give some suggestions for improvement. Read More

In my high school years I served as section leader. I taught people everyday how to improve at their instruments. I also served as principal trombone in wind ensemble. I helped my section daily with rhythmical playing and improving slide technique. I want to inspire my students to be better versions of themselves. Being a musician involves building character. I have also taught people at the college level. I believe you are never too young to teach as long as you have passion for it. Read More
