I also incorporate reflective questions for students to get them thinking about the music in new ways (e.g., structurally, historically, philosophically, etc.). I started teaching private lessons on trumpet when I was in High School. In college, I began teaching private lessons on euphonium/baritone. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education (BME), I taught 2 years in K-5 general music/JH-HS Choir and 7 years K-12 general music. I care about my students progress and teach them things they mostly want to play. I encourage my students to record themselves playing and also use social media to connect with other people who are passionate about music just like them.
