For voice, I tend to start with vocal conditioning, breath work, and easy pop, Disney, and musical theatre repertoire. For piano, I love using Alfred's Basic Piano Library to start, but I am flexible with books and resources to meet the student's needs. For ukulele, I start with learning basic chords and learning to play easy songs For guitar, I follow the Guitar for Kids book to learn basic chords and notes, then move towards sight playing, and playing songs with different strumming patterns. I encourage students to focus on what things feel like, and describe them, so that we can focus on what is working well!
