Ever since a child, I've loved learning, music and sharing my passions! Through grade school I grew into the role of a leader and a musical/visual artist. In 2018 I graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors in K-12 Music Education with a minor in Spanish. My years of teaching grade school has reaffirmed my passion for teaching, and drive to be the best teacher I can. For trumpet and trombone, I focus on helping the student to develop a consistent warm-up routine and practice routine. I use my own hybrid method that is based on the classic trumpet repertoire, including Arban, Clark, Stamp, Ba-Lin, and Schlossberg. I use my own hybrid because it is simple, effective, and accessible for students of all ages. My methods vary on the student and subject. Beginning students will typically focus more on technical pieces of music to improve on certain aspects of a few pieces to perform. More advanced students will still practice technical parts of their music, but less time will be spent on it during a lesson. Advanced level students will spend more time on repertoire and performance. The more advanced a student gets, the more I expect them to practice outside of lessons and apply their newly learned technical skills into their music on their own. Read More
