I am an accomplished music educator and composer skilled in and enthusiastic about teaching music students of all ages. I have a Bachelor's degree in cello performance from Utah State University, where I studied with Anne Francis Bayless of the world-renowned Fry Street Quartet. I have been playing violin, viola, and piano for over 15 years. I began teaching as an assistant for CIM's Preparatory Orchestra Department, a position I held for four years while earning my Bachelors. As part of my minor, I also spent one year student teaching for CIM's Preparatory Eurhythmics Department and as a tutor for the conservatory. I moved to Tennessee in the fall of 2017 to earn my graduate degree as a Teaching Assistant for the school of music at UT, where I had the opportunity to teach private lessons and group classes to undergraduate viola majors and minors. I'e been playing since I've been a young child and have never been able to see myself do anything else. I am currently playing with the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra as well as the Michigan Philharmonic Symphony. I aspire to play with the Michigan Opera Theater soon and become a studio musician. I have lots of background playing in concerts outside of classical music such as rock, folk, and pop and love teaching such styles. Read More
