For beginning students I always begin with a methods book, I believe that good fundamentals are what makes a good musician, but I also teach ear training methods thereby giving the student the best in both worlds. Once the fundamentals and foundation are efficient, then according to the instrument I move to solo repertoire or experimentation or interpretation. Alongside the Suzuki Method, I give each student the opportunity to choose a song or piece that they are passionate about learning. Some of my students learn fiddle and folk songs, while others learn video game music or songs from movies. I'e been playing since I've been a young child and have never been able to see myself do anything else. I am currently playing with the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra as well as the Michigan Philharmonic Symphony. I aspire to play with the Michigan Opera Theater soon and become a studio musician. I have lots of background playing in concerts outside of classical music such as rock, folk, and pop and love teaching such styles. Read More

My teaching experience begings while my undergrad. I began teaching private lessons part time when I was 19 years old in different academies in my city and since there, I have been teaching both in academies and at home. I have taught both violin and viola and some of my students are now persuing an undergrad degree back in Colombia.
