I am a passionate and motivated instructor who is looking forward to sharing my love of music. I graduated Marshall University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. While in my undergraduate degree I had the opportunity to perform in every ensemble (Jazz Band, Wind Symphony, Orchestra, Etc.) Marshall University had to offer. My teaching experience actually began in a limited capacity prior to starting college. I was fortunate to receive private flute instruction throughout high school, and as a result, I held roles as a section leader as a high school upperclassman.  Upon my college graduation, I entered the workforce, all the while picking up flute students, primarily at a beginner level.  I greatly enjoyed building a firm foundation with each student given their ability, so we had a solid starting point to build upon. After studying music education for 4 years at Murray State University, I've turned my sights on music therapy, but I still have a passion for teaching and introducing people to the magic that comes with playing and learning music. Hello! I just graduated from my masters degree from Ohio University in Clarinet Performance and earned my bachelor from Western Kentucky University in Music/Spanish. I started teaching band camp after my first year of college have not stopped, soon after that I started giving private lessons to clarinetist in the western Ky area and I realize that I loved it. Between WKU and Ohio University I have being a member and have played principal in many of these groups: Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Marching Band and Pep Band, Clarinet Choir and Chamber Music and Opera. I began teaching the flute while at the University of Kentucky as an assistant to my professor Gordon Cole in his flute methods class to music educators. Since then, I have been teaching private lessons to middle and high school students. I do welcome beginners as well as adult students. I believe that teaching students how to practice is essential to their success.
