I love people and I love music. My gift is teaching, and I think about it all the time. It gives me great joy to share what I have with you. I teach all aspects of brass playing: air control, embouchure development, articulation, tone, range, and musical interpretation of all styles. My ultimate goal as teacher is to help my students develop artistic excellence. In order to achieve this, technical proficiency must be obtained on the instrument. To obtain this, our lessons will focus on proper breathing, holding the instrument, basic mouthpiece buzzing, and slide technique. The study of pitch and rhythm is also necessary in the development of artistry. Students will learn how to use a metronome and tuner to refine these areas while practicing. Read More

I've been teaching lessons since I was in high school and younger students would ask for me for help with their playing. I love sharing my knowledge of music with others as it's something that has brought me a lot of joy in my life. I began assisting teachers during high school for extra credit. It later became my job during Full Sail. I worked extensively with grades K-5 on reading, writing and math skills enrichment. When I graduated I started to see my joy was working with children and helping each individual get to their own "next level" and that is when I began teaching music privately. I encourage my students to enter competitions and recitals of which I help with the prep for and can conduct them there if need be.  Read More
