I have been involved in music my entire life, starting in a percussion group and choir in elementary school. I started on the clarinet at the beginning of middle school. I taught myself how to play the clarinet amongst the other instruments I play with the help and guidance of college professors, band directors, and tricks I noticed along the way. I started teaching around the summer of 2013. My first pupils were children that were active members at my old church. They were interested primarily in acoustic guitar, I discovered how wonderful it made me feel to see their faces "light up" when they learned their first chord. I am a retired Army officer and I performed with the Army Band for over ten years. I have traveled with the band all over the United States and abroad singing and playing professionally. I have performed with Opera Birmingham and I am a member of the Alabama Symphony Chorus.
