Sounds of Mobile was a musical theater based ensemble that traveled across the nation singing, dancing, and teaching. Sofree is a gospel based ensemble compiled of all girls. With Sofree, I toured all over the south east performing gospel and contemporary worship songs. I had the wonderful opportunity to lead Sofree as their musical director. I have been involved in music my entire life, starting in a percussion group and choir in elementary school. I started on the clarinet at the beginning of middle school. I taught myself how to play the clarinet amongst the other instruments I play with the help and guidance of college professors, band directors, and tricks I noticed along the way. For young beginning piano students, I typically start with Alfred's Basic Piano Library for the classical approach or my own Christian Music Piano Library for a Christian or Gospel music approach. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce a solo repertoire appropriate for their age and skill level. For an adult beginner, I try to find out exactly what the student wants to be able to do and then guide my instructions accordingly in order to keep lessons relevant to the end goal. Read More

I love kids and music and decided to combine the two. Piano lessons from fourth grade through high school furthered my love for instruments. I played flute and piccolo through high school and then graduated with my Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education from Troy in 2005. As a guitarist/singer I performed solo as well as playing bass in a soul band, then a country-rock band and eventually performing and recording four albums with an original band.
