Ive been teaching private saxophone lessons for 3 years. Ive developed a simple method to customize each students practice routine. Students are all different and have different strengths and weaknesses. Its very important for musicians to be honest with themselves about their struggles in music. For older students I will utilize what the student is working on in school as well as determining weak areas that need to be addressed, and the areas the student might want to focus on (classical technique, jazz theory and playing, etc.).
