Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Cello is my main instrument, but I have also been teaching piano, guitar, and violin for years. I love teaching and the variety of finding the approach that works best for each individual student. On a personal note, I was married in 2010 and had my first child, a boy, a year later. I live in Northfield but commute up to the Eden Prairie/Chanhassen area for lessons every Monday. I have used and am open to a variety of band and piano methods. Essential Elements is ne of the best band instrument books, and I like the Fabre piano student book series. I Introduce solo and ensemble rep as quickly as possible also along with familiar tunes the student requests.older students and adults are canvasses as to where there musical interests lie. Jack Schabert is a Twin Cities based musician, composer, and educator. He performs professionally around the metro with various jazz groups, and is an Instructor of Percussion, Piano, Drum Set, and Jazz Studies at various music schools in the area. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
