Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Organ, Ukulele, Recorder, Keyboard, Djembe
In my studio, the most important thing when structuring lessons is to make them individualized. No two lessons look the same in my studio. If a student wants to work on composing, that will be the focus. If the student wants to work on sight-reading, we'll focus on that. Of course, it's important to be a well-rounded musician, but these lessons are for the students' benefit, not mine, so I'll make sure they leave their lessons with what they want to gain. Read More

This book is a combination of music theory, repertoire, and technique training which is a very effective and practical choice. Building up a healthy playing habit is crucial in the beginning stage. My studying during master's and doctoral in piano performance and piano pedagogy would help students to have the correct and healthy techniques. Meanwhile, I would like to insert some contents on musical terms, composers, and music appreciation. Also, the practice will not limit to the textbook only, it will be chosen from all musical genres such as jazz, pop, and swing as well. Read More

For beginning and intermediate students I utilize the Bastien Method books series, which includes supplemental Theory and Technique books that can be purchased if needed. These students each select performance pieces which they enjoy and are level-appropriate from a variety of sources. More advanced students focus primarily on challenging performance pieces, several of which are selected as 'keepers' for practice and review. Lessons include technique practice (scales, arpeggios, finger exercises), theory (from textbooks, flashcards etc.) music history, instrument mechanics, ear training and musicianship (such as rhythm and sight reading drills, dictation) and student compositions (notation and continuation methods). I also believe that Piano Lessons should be fun. Since I generally teach one on one, lessons can be tailored to each student and I add supplementary material to the Piano course as soon as possible based on the student’s progress and interests. I am willing to add supplementary music in most any genre from current radio hits, to Pop Standards and soundtracks, as well as Holiday Music based on the student’s culture. Read More

I am a soon-to-be music teacher who loves working with students and sharing my love of music! I began studying music in Chicago, Illinois in 2015 and am currently finishing my degree at University of Missouri. I plan to continue to get both my master and PhD in choral music education, though I have a strong focus in playing piano and accompanying. I have taught beginning and intermediate lessons the past several years, as well as accompanied ensembles and sang in many chorales simultaneously. Read More
