My teaching experience began around the age of 15, when I taught 2 beginner students piano lessons. I then taught throughout high school and my first few years of college in the Chicago area through the Judson Community School of Music. I love to encourage consistent, short practice sessions for beginners and focus on theory and technique, as well as encourage music to be fun. My biggest focus with my students is building confidence! I strive to always be encouraging. I believe that we are capable of accomplishing much more when we believe that we can do it! I picked up teaching during my second year of college with some help from my mother- a long-time piano teacher. During that time I taught several different students ranging from age 6 to adult on various instruments including piano, guitar, and drums. I've experienced the different learning styles and barriers that come with teaching kids, teens, and adults. I am a 22 year old mother of a 3 almost 4 year old! I have been a stay at home mom since COVID began but would love to get back into lessons.
