I'm an enthusiastic instructor that loves working with students of all ages to further their love of music, as well as their skill and appreciation for their craft. I graduated from Southwestern Adventist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music, with an emphasis in orchestral percussion performance, where I had many opportunities to perform with percussion and as a member of their elite choir, the University Singers. I have seen what hard work and diligent practice schedule can produce, I have had students that teach at University and others play with "A" circut bands, and yet others have their own Guitar methods, web site and are very succesful! The greatest skill a teacher can have is determining how to relate the information in a way that causes the student to want to practice and become better. From learning on the streets to playing on stages to studying music in 3 colleges and working in the record business at Caroline Distribution, MCA, Geffen and Engine/Blackout Records as well as working as a touring stage manager and personal assistant with Peter, Paul and Mary and being the member of dozens of performing/recording bands including my position as a founding member of the Metal Blade recording artist, Gypsyhawk and being listed in the Encyclopedia Metallum and having toured and performed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts with a theater troupe and my work with soundtracks and original compositions/recordings, I have had and continue to pursue the muse in my widely varied and exciting career in music.
