Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I began formal study of piano at age seven, learned to sing by participating choir from seventh through ninth grades, and developed general music skills by being a percussionist in Symphonic Band where I attended high school. From that time, I continued playing repertoire until entering college to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance with an emphasis on research. I took a variety of electives including a course on the life and works of Johann Sebastian Bach, a course in Art Song, a seminar in piano Concerto, and a course in Symphonic literature. Read More

I love to work with students. I‘m a composer, pianist, conductor, and certificated teacher (in my country). I have been playing piano for 23 years, and have been playing flute for 17 years. I am familiar with music theories and traditional music history from the ancient and medieval to the twenty-first century in details as any other professional composer, so if you are curious to listen to a story or even gossip of someone like Bach, Haydn or Mozart, I can tell you one sometimes. For my string students, I typically use Hal Leonard's Essential Elements at first, and then I introduce the Suzuki Method for solo repertoire once they have progressed on their instruments. For my vocal students, I find what type of music my student is interested in, and I then recommend a voice book that we will pick repertoire from. For my piano students, I use the Piano Adventures series, which includes the fundamentals as well as solo repertoire. Read More

In every lesson, I will check in with the student to see how they are progressing and will address any issues that have arisen during their practice sessions. I try very hard to tune into the individual student's learning style and to figure out the best way to communicate my philosophy. I like to start with an example from whatever musical style from which the student wishes to learn and from there I will look to derive a greater understanding of how and why the music works the way that it does.
