My experience as a teacher started when I was in high school, giving private lessons to local middle school and elementary school students. With an appropriate printed resource, and audio recordings to listen to, they are equipped with the materials for self-study from the start. During the lesson itself, the student would be singing or playing at least half of the time. During this current stay-at-home lifestyle, I propose having lessons over Zoom. I am currently enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado for a Doctor of Arts in Saxophone Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Pedagogy. I have performed in such venues as The Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, The Texas Jazz Festival, the JEN Conference in Dallas, Texas, and the New Orleans Reggae Festival.
