I have been involved with music since middle school, where I participated in marching band. I continued in marching band up to my junior year of college. In high school I began working with my church's worship team, first as a percussionist, then as an acoustic guitarist. I began training in basic music theory at this time as well. I have gotten better, ... but to this day, I am always more comfortable when playing by ear or by memory. I today's world, I don't see that as a problem, and I try to not force sightreading on a student who seems to not have an inclination towards that skill. My passion for music comes from childhood, learning the first chords on the guitar with my father. From then on, I began to study classical guitar in conjunction with a repertoire of Brazilian and Latin music. Later I deepened my studies on the 7-string nylon guitar and also on the semi-acoustic guitar, especially in the language of jazz and blues.
