In 2013, I took on my own roster of private students, and have continued doing that ever since. I worked as an elementary music specialist for Metro Nashville Public Schools from 2013-2018. I believe that proficiency on any instrument begins with understanding how the different parts of the instrument work together to create an optimal sound. All of my students will have an understanding of the system in place that allows them to chase the sound they hear in their heads. I began teaching guitar while working a residency program in Maryland. I began teaching private lessons 7 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students out of my studio space in Johnson City for the past 2 years. I have taught students from ages 9 to 60 and have loved every minute of it. My students have ranged from pure beginners to advanced/intermediate students just looking to freshen up their skills.
