Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

At the age of 9 I was introduced to music and this has allowed me to have a passion for what I love. I enjoy working with students to help them further their dream and walk in their purpose through music. In 2010, I graduated from the University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Performance. For beginning students, we focus on elemental technique for the instrument and general music theory using easy books and methods provided by the teacher. For intermediate students, we focus on developing technique with etudes and technique books provided by the teacher, with light repertoire appropriate for each student. For advanced students, we keep developing more advanced techniques with advanced technique and etude books provided by the teacher and work on more intricate repertoire appropriate for each student. I began teaching music in high school by leading flute sectionals in the marching band and music theory to my fellow choir members. I focused on performing during my undergraduate studies; then had the opportunity to share my musical talents in a different way when I began my music therapy career. In music therapy, I used music to address musical and non-musical goals. I have taught adaptive lessons for guitar and piano to teenagers through the senior age group. Read More

I am very passionate and dedicated about my playing. It is not easy but the end result is well worth the effort. I graduated from Free Will Baptist Bible Collage in 2008 with my Bachelor of Art in flute performance I also took my flute lessons at Belmont University. Since then I've played in various mediums, and really got a greater appreciation in slowly frogressing in my sucsess as a flute player. whilebi never thought I'd be a teacher, it's always a wonderful feeling to pass down the tradition of good flute playing. For all students I try to incorporate all elements of music by including appropriate amounts music history and theory into my lessons. For beginners, I tend to utilize Trevor Wye exercises, and slowly incorporate small musical pieces. Although tedious, I believe that scales and etudes make students technically and musically proficient. I therefore include them in my lessons, but ensure the students are gaining the benefit of these exercises. I like to approach lessons from a wholistic standpoint, putting an emphasis on a student's posture, breathing and attitude. Read More
