Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I believe that with enough passion and dedication anyone can be a musician. Hard work and my love for music have had me teaching private lessons, classes, and ensembles since 2003. My primary focus is in clarinet and composition. But my study and expertise spans also to voice, ukulele, and guitar. I enjoy playing music from several genres including rock, pop, musical theater, Klezmer, band, country, folk and classical. Hi! I'm Maeve. I am a professional soprano with 13 years of instruction and 4 years of paid experience as a performer under my belt. Since 2011, I have attended voice programs at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Brevard Music Center, and VOICExperience, and I regularly work in churches and sing weddings. I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky, where I studied with Dr. Dennis Bender. I have had experiences in tutoring, college group-studies, and leading sectionals in high school band as well as rehearsing church choir where I had the chance to interact with different age-groups ranging from children in elementary school to adults older than my own parents where I tried to determine ways to improve my understanding of teaching and cultivating efficient methods through reflections and advice. During my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Louisville, I have led sectionals for honor choir and all-state workshops, and prepared the University Chorus and Collegiate Chorale for my recital which have given me some hands-on experience in rehearsing various choirs.
