Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I'm a passionate violin teacher and performer. I taught in the Washington DC area for more than 5 years, and currently have been teaching in the Boston area for a year. Ive been teaching violin students for the past 9 years. Currently, Im a second year graduate student in violin performance at the New England Conservatory, and I will be receiving my Masters degree in May 2020. I finished my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, where I received a Bachelor of Music in violin performance, alongside with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I want my students to have fun and be able to be inspired to learn and create. I know that everyone learns their way and I do believe myself accommodating and understanding. Learning to read, write, and play music is essentially learning another language and having taught languages for several years, I know people move at different paces. I encourage my students to maintain a detailed practice log, and to explore and create during daily practices whilst also working towards goals established during our sessions. Read More

When teaching new students, I think it is very important to understand the student's experience with music. Doing this allows me to cater my approach to each individual student. During lessons and when planning for them, I use this knowledge to find the best way to convey information.
