I taught Elem./Secondary Music for 30 years in IA and CO. As of this writing, I have been teaching private piano lessons for 35 years. I also served as Colorado (CMEA) State Chair of Elem. General Music and directed award-winning children's choirs, even piloting and hosting various regional honor choral music festivals along the way. My experience as a teacher started when I was in high school, giving private lessons to local middle school and elementary school students. Ive continued giving private lessons as well as masterclasses, sectional work, and marching band coaching throughout college. Teaching is as much of a calling for me as is playing the trumpet. My teaching experience began in 2008, when I began teaching private lessons on various instruments, on voice, and on conducting.
