I'm a passionate instructor who loves to share my love of music and discover all the possibilities that a student can have with the instrument. I graduated from the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory with a bachelor in trombone performance. Working as a trombonist with the Navy band Southeast, I'm constantly performing in different ceremonies and teaching masterclasses around the Southeast area of the US, including Puerto Rico. As a soloist and freelance musician I'm very active in the Jacksonville scene, not only playing classical music, but also latin music and popular music; with Symphony Orchestras and other small and large ensembles. I always enjoy seeing the light bulb moment my students get when they get something right, and learn something new. My teaching method is a simple stacking method we start with a lesson, I try to find where the student may struggle most and spend time with that. Then we move forward, but revisit the lesson prior for continuity. I'm a professional trombonist, composer, and music teacher in Miami, Florida who is dedicated to the study of music. I am a lecturer in the University of Miami's jazz and studio music program, where I have taught music theory, ear-training, and jazz ensembles. I also teach Saturday music theory classes to students ages 7-18 at a local community arts program. My teaching experience started when I was in high school I assisted the middle school band director and taught some private trumpet lessons. During my time at Pensacola Christian College, I learned how to teach lessons in brass, woodwind, percussion, and strings. Part of the requirements included student teaching where I taught third grade theory, high school band, private trumpet, and private clarinet lessons.
