Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I began teaching lessons in Texas in 2012 and have been since. My first major success as a teacher came in 2015 when I had a trumpet student of mine make the Texas ATSSB All-State Jazz Band. In my lessons, I push a strong routine of consistent practice to help improve endurance and stamina. For beginning students, I combine multiple elements to understand the various aspects of their new instruments. With a combination of videos for inspiration, singing for audiation, and moving for connection to the instrument and how our muscles respond to it. My lessons rarely consist of sitting for the entire time. I believe that in the short time we have in lessons, it is more important to expose students to a variety of resources to investigate their new endeavor than it is to repeat repertoire for the sake of a quick result. I have years of experience teaching elementary, high school, and college musicians. Students under my tutelage have experience significant musical improvement, as well as the satisfaction which comes from working towards long-term goals and achieving them. I greatly enjoy enabling students to develop their physical mastery of their instruments. I enjoy the challenge of working with each student's unique musical and physical strengths and weaknesses in instrumental performance, and working to develop the most complete musician possible. I like to make sure that in my lessons students realize that learning an instrument is a marathon and not a sprint. I foster an environment that encourages them to ask questions whenever they are having trouble understanding a concept. I am always trying to find out how best to teach a student by trying to find out how they learn information. I am always happy to go at the pace the student sets, and I will always make sure that the goals we set week to week and beyond are realistic. Read More

Every student needs to be approached differently. I take every student at their pace knowing that students can be burned out if they progress too quickly or become bored if they arent challenged. Modern middle and high schoolers can be very busy and it is not productive to give them too much than they can handle. I see it as one of my primary responsibilities to keep the student engaged, focused, and motivated. Read More
