I started studying music at a very early age. When I was four years old, I started taking organ lessons, followed by piano when I was 7 years old. During elementary school, I started playing the clarinet. In middle school, I started playing the oboe. During high school, I learned the english horn and alto saxophone. My teaching experience dates back to when I was still in high school. I would go to middle schools and give lessons. Now as a college music graduate, I have taught many ages including college peers. I think it is important to teach skills and methods that will help the student problem-solve and continue to learn even when they are alone. As an itinerate teacher I travelled between three school buildings within the district and sometimes two buildings within the same day.
