I have been teaching private lessons part time for almost a year. In that short time, my studio has grown to include seven students of varying skill levels. I believe that regular practice is important, and that practicing should be fun. I try to combine classical and modern music when teaching, as both are important to the development of a well rounded musician. I approach every genre with a strong foundation in order to make repertoire more approachable, such as learning a variety of scales, developing good tone, and working on method or etude books to strengthen the range of possibilities on their instruments.
