The first jazz album I ever owned was "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. I started to listen to the likes of John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter and Sonny Rollins.Listening to these greats, I started to realize what I wanted to be in my life. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonards Essential Elements book, as well a basic understanding of music. Once the student has progressed to have a nice grasp of the fundamentals of music, I usually begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I started playing at very young age and since the very beginning of my career I had the honor of touring with many prestigious woodwind orchestras and to perform all around Europe in venues like the Palau De La Musica in Valencia (Spain), The Music Certament of Kerkrade (Netherlands) and many others. I was also offered the position of saxophone instructor at my high school's band camp for three consecutive Summers.
