Due to lessons being customized for each student various method materials will be used including: method books, theory books, performance books, and my own materials that are created to fit the students' needs. After a level assessment during the first lesson music, including books, practice materials, and solos will be chosen to meet that level and be age appropriate. Lesson pacing will be set at an appropriate rate so that older students will be taught at a faster rate than a young beginner so that each student is given the best experience possible while still having fun! The best feeling for me is to see a student develop their own passion for music.  Therefore I do not believe in forcing a student to progress at a certain pace.  That said, I like to develop skill sets to a very strong level before moving forward to new skill sets.  I am a firm believer in acknowledging progress and positive reinforcement.  Above all else, I believe the students goals and interests are truly what guides the lessons.  I may explain and design a path for the student, but it all comes back to the destination that they desire. I am so excited to see my students grow in their vocal craft. Using correct placement and vocal methods, I hope for all of my students to develop healthy, fluid, and consistency of sound flow! I promise I am patient, kind, empathetic, and I understand that while getting proper vocal technique is important, there is nothing more important than mental health.
