I have been teaching piano for over 12 years to aspiring pianists ranging from 5 year-olds to undergraduate performing arts majors. I am very passionate about teaching, because I am just as fulfilled as my students when they are able to master a piece and gain a sense of accomplishment. I’ve also learned how to give students encouraging and practical feedback from my professor at LSU, Gregory Sioles. His warm and caring personality is my goal as a teacher and pianist. Read More

My teaching experience goes back to my high school days, where I began to teach private lessons part time ten years ago. I also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoying playing instruments. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a select list of guided lesson books (depending on skill level and musical interests). Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More
