Every year around November and December, I organize a charity concert called "fusion" in Manhattan, students will be invited to perform at the beginning of the concert as our special guests. I am using Walter Giseking-Karl Leimer methods. The first text book is "The School of Piano playing" by prof. Nikolaev (American edition),which means starting to read simultaneously treble and bass clefs, scales, etudes by Cherni, "Childrens Albums" by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Inventions by J.S.Bach etc. It is the solid academical approach. Also from the first lessons me and student will play in 4 hands, and student will learn how to accompany and improvise from very first lessons, which is the favorite part of lessons for all my students! I try to engage the student aurally and not only from the method book alone. This method encourages to make decisions on their own without being instructed to do so. My training in piano started from when I was 5 years old. Since then, I continuously took piano lesson and have had performed on the stage as well. I continued my training in piano at the University of Hartford under David Westfall, Paul Rutman, Susan Cheng and Grace Smith. From Manhattan School of Music, I studied composition/theory with Richard Danielpour and Reiko Fueting, and piano with Lisa Yui.
