I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2008 with a degree in Professional Music and a focus in classical composition/jazz pedagogy/music theory/jazz performance. I tend to edit my teaching style based on how successfully my students meet their goals. I honestly love teaching young and beginning students because they're an absolute blank slate, something I do not take lightly. Having fun and establishing a strong practice routine is paramount with younger students. I emphasize listening to records/music with all students but especially with more intermediate to advanced students. I first started teaching when my piano teacher assigned me to be her assistant back in 2009, I provided her 7-28 year old students with singing lessons. As I proven myself to be an accomplished instructor I received a job as Choir Instructor at School of Music 'Vladimir Djordjevic', where I worked for 1 year before heading to Boston to start my studies at Berklee. In 2010 I started teaching private lessons part time in my home studio, where I conducted voice, piano, music theory, and solfeggio lessons to a total of 16 students, who showed incredible improvements over all 4 years that they stayed under my instruction. I believe that by, for instance, teaching students how to make good use of their practice time (being productively self-critical) and processing information in an intuitive way, drastically expedites musical development and profoundly affect brain development. I believe that all students are able to carry their dreams out to the fullest as long as they put a little hard work and dedication. I enjoy bringing this to the classroom because it shows my students they are able to do anything that they put their heart and soul into.
