i was taught piano at the age of 5 years old by my father. i finished many piano method books my father instructed me on. at the age of 8 i learned to play the bass. i was in love with it more than the piano and became my main instrument. finished many bass method books as well. by the time i was 14 i was playing guitar, saxophone, drums and singing in choir. as i got older i began performing in concerts. i have performed in over 3,000 concerts since then and continue to. music is a way of life for me. I work very closely with every student customizing lesson plans based on their needs. From the very first lesson, we figure out his/her goals and we write them down. Then I create a lesson plan specifically suited to get them to where they want to be. I often recommend specific songs or artists they should listen to as well as certain books and practice exercises that gravitate towards reaching their goal and most importantly; true potential. Onside of this, I've taught percussion ensembles to local middle schools such as Mokena and Manhattan Jr. High. Additionally, I've taught 8 marching band ensembles and am currently writing music for some of those.
