Books I use for teaching Piano is the Piano Adventures series of books by Nancy and Randall Faber, which is a great lesson book and a good basic piano method for beginners through intermediate level students. For guitar I use the Hal Leonard Incredible Chord Finder and the Warren Nunes Jazz guitar Rhythm and Background Chords and the Solo Patterns book. We will focus on linear drumming in all styles to create the kind of interdepence needed for more advanced genre as well as creative improvising. We will discuss the similarities and differences between the different genre and refer to musical examples so the student learns to play idiomatically. Advanced students will "relearn" the basics in a way that will prepare them for Expert Level Drumming.
